Welcome to the Gwent Sword Club Web Site

Gwent Sword Club currently operates at two venues in South-East Wales, with our fully trained coaches providing training to both experienced fencers and beginners through our programme of beginner courses.

Our Newport division is now in Caerleon on Monday nights (see below)

Our Caerleon division runs on Monday nights at the University Sports Centre gym, Lodge Road, Caerleon, NP18 3QT 19:00 till 21:00.  (link to map)

Our Chepstow division runs on Friday nights from 18:30 till 20:30 at Chepstow Leisure Centre, Welsh Street, Chepstow, NP16 5LX. (link to map)

All club membership is due for renewal from January 1. Part-year membership is available at the rate of 10% per month (or part-month) of the annual cost. The costs are listed below - see Carl or Catherine for more details. Without club membership, the 'associate member' rate is payable at club sessions. Please note that all fencers should, in addition, be members of British Fencing and are responsible for ensuring their BF membership is renewed on time.

Congratulations to all those who fenced in the Welsh team foil championships: men's teams 1st, 2nd and 4th; women's teams 1st and 2nd.
